Benjamin Hamlin, the son of Eleazer Hamlin and Lydia Sears was born in Eastham, Barnstable in 1692. He married Anne Mayo daughter of Samuel Mayo in Eastham, 25 October 1716. Benjamin resided in Wellfleet and died about 1737. [1][2]

Cornelius was born circa 1719. [3] He died on November 8, 1792 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts; 72 years on gravestone. [4]
Joshua born circa 1721, [5] died 26 January 1797, age 76. [6]
Benjamin was baptized 7 July 1727, birth date uncertain.[7]
Elizabeth birth date unknown, married William Holmes 5 November 1750. [12]
Benjamin was killed on a whaling vessel July, 1737.

His widow was made administratrix of his estate before July 5, 1738, when his estate was inventoried.[14] He did not leave a will, however his children are named in a document listing articles of agreement between them and his widow, dated June 10, 1748. His wife had remarried by the said date to a Grayham. Children listed are as follows: Cornelius Hamblin, Benjamin Hamblin, Joshua Hamblin, Mary Hamblin, and Lydia Willcut (wife of John Willcut) of Hingham, [15]
