Biography
Mary Elizabeth Hardwick was born July 24, 1859[1], the daughter of Edmund and Mary Eliza Hardwick of Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia[2]
On January 11, 1882, she married Charles Belyea Whitman, the son of Willliam and Caroline Whitman, also of Lawrencetown[3]
Children included:
- Crofton Fitzgerald Uniacke Whitman, born 1885[4]
- Georgina, born August 3, 1890[1], who married Oakes R. Bruce in Massachusetts[5]
- Charles Victor Whitman, born 1895[6]
Mary Eliza (Hardwick) Whitman died April 10, 1930 in Halifax[7], and was buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Lawrencetown[8]
