Elisha Hawkins pension deposition dated 20 August 1832, he gives his age as 77. making his birth around 1755. Elisha Hawkins state that he enlisted on the 2nd day of March 1776. Stated " I know of but one person now living whom I can prove my service a Mr Jehu Hawkins"

I Elisha Hawkins Senr. of the County of Franklin and the State of Kentucky being at this time of perfect mind & memory but calling to mind the morality of all living do hereby ordain & establish this instrument of writing as my last will & testament In the first place I comment my soul into the hands of almighty God & my body be decently Buried by executors to be hereinafter named _ _ _ 2nd It is my will that the plantation & tract of land on which I now live as well as all or any real Estate as well all my slaves & their increase also. all my personal Estate of every kind including money & notes due me Shall belong to William Hawkins (blackhead) who I raised & his heirs forever & all property received By my present wife at the time I married her shall return to her again. 3rd I hereby appoint the said William Hawkins the executor of this my last will & testament evoking all former wills, witness my hand & seal this 2nd day of November 1824. Pension records list his death date as 28 November 1833.
Note: According to Franklin County Deed Book F page 346 William Hawkins had already purchased 100 acres of land from Elisha Hawkins and Elizabeth wife on 13 October 1717 (yes it says one thousand seven hundred and seventeen). Delivered to William Hawkins 9 June 1821 in side margin.

William Hawkins had already purchased the 200 arces
from Elisha Hawkins on 8 November 1824. Elisha Hawkins
lists that the tract of land part of Isaac Larue survey containing
two hundred acres i now live on to my sd nephew William
Hawkins and his heirs.
Delivered to William Hawkins 29 November 1833 in the
side margin.
Elisha Hawkins purchased from Isaac Larue and Bethel his wife on 16 October 1798 Franklin County Kentucky, being on the waters of Beaver Creek.
Elisha Hawkins was born in 1750.
He married Elizabeth Edwards.
He passed away in 1833.
