US Civil War: Commissioned an officer in Company D, Ohio 113th Infantry Regiment on 23 Oct 1862. Promoted to Full 2nd Lieutenant on 28 Jan 1863. Mustered out on 28 Jan 1863. Commissioned an officer in on 28 Jan 1863. Mustered out on 08 Aug 1863.
