Biography
Miriam was born about 1668. In the birth records for her children, her first name is variously spelled: Miriam, Mirriam, Meream, Maryim.
Miriam married John Procter about 1692. They had at least the following children, registered in Chelmsford:[1]
- John, b. 6 Oct 1694
- Maryim, b. 30 June 1696
- Edward, b. 15 Feb 1698/99
- Hannah, b. 9 May 1701
- Benjamin, b. 20 Oct 1704
- Moses, b. 19 Nov 1706
The death of "Meriam Prockter" is recorded at Chelmsford. She died on January 19, 1767 at the age of 99 and was buried on January 20.[2]

Miriam's maiden name is in her marriage record as John Proctor to Miriam Marshall in Chelmsford in 1694 (listed in U.S., New England Marriages Prior to 1700). If that was Miriam's first wedding (aged 26) then her maiden name was Marshall. The marriage date fits perfectly as John and Miriam Proctors first child, John Proctor, was born shortly after that date.

She is listed in the SAR application for Roland Henry Baker, Sr (National # 57173, Massachusetts State # 5770) as the wife of Joseph Kidder (11 Aug 1697 - 15 Apr 1758) and mother of Job Kidder (1725 - 1823). She is listed as having died in 1786.

Wyman's Charlestown 657 https://archive.org/stream/genealogiesestat02wyma#page/656/mode/1up Recall that both of her parents had passed when she was young. She was probably living with her uncle John Marshall who was living at the time in Billerica. Billerica is right next to Chelmsford today.
