Biography
Oliver Hitchcock was born in Essex, England.
Oliver's birth 5 August 1807 and christening 27 December 1807 sourced from Holy Trinity Southchurch, Chelmsford Diocese, Essex - parents Edward Hitchock and Mary. [1][2][3]
St Mary's Southchurch also held the entry for a burial of infant Edward Hitchcock 5 May 1806, one would assume a brother of Oliver. Oliver and Edward's parent's marriage not found on this film - later their marriage discovered 21 November 1803 at St Mary's Little Stambridge D/P 395 1/3 via parish registers accessed at the Essex County Record Office on-line at <http://seax.essexcc.gov.uk/ParishRegisters.aspx/>
Oliver witnessed his sister Rhoda`s first marriage 9 Feb 1836 at All Souls District Rectory in St Marylebone, Langham Pl, Westminster. [4] Original image on London parish registers on ancestry.com, entry states marriage by banns, both were of (living at) All Souls Parish.
