Biography

Eliphalet Holt was born to Nehemiah and Anna (Farnham) Holt at Windham, Connecticut on 1 April 1749. He died at Windham on 4 September 1754, not quite 5-1/2 years old,, of "malignant dysentery." The same disease had already struck down his 3 year old brother Jonathan in July, his 2 year old sister Sarah in August. Four days later, on 8 September, it would claim both his oldest brother, Nehemiah, not quite 8, and his youngest brother Nathaniel, barely 6 months old.
