NEHEMIAH HOLT, b. Andover April 3, 1723, removed to Conn, with his parents, and lived in that part of Hampton called Kennedy society. He was a soldier in the French war of 1754, leaving his wife and five children at home in good health, on his return he was met at the door, by his wife only; his children had all died during his absence of malignant dysentery, or as it was then called camp distemper. After his return from the army he purchased Orchard hill, situated in the north-east part of the present town of Chaplin, where he lived until his death.
He m. Nov. 25, 1745, Anna Farnham, who d. April 1, 1810, of cancer, aged 84.

NEHEMIAH, b. Windham Nov. 28, 1756; m. 1st, June 11, 1782, Mary Lamphear, who d. Dec. 11, 1799; m. 2nd, Jan. 1, 1801, Sarah Dunlap of Plainfield, Conn., who b. Nov. 7, 1808; m. 3rd, Sep. 10, 1809, Eunice Fuller, who d. Dec. 31, 1846, aged 74y. 9m. He d. at Chaplin, June 5, 1824, aged 68.
SARAH, b. Windham Oct. 12, 1758; m. Jan. 1, 1783, Stephen Sparks. He was b. Oct. 12, 1756; removed to Leicester, Vt., and subsequently to New York state, near Syracuse. 9 ch.
MARTHA, b. Windham Sep. 20, 1760; m. 1st, 1785, Joseph Clark; she m. 2d, Apr. 28, 1791, Nathan Martin. He was b. June 28, 1760, and d. June 2, 1812. She d. Apr. 24, 1849. 6 ch.
ROXILENA, b. Windham Apr. 6, 1762; m. Ebenezer M. Hitchcock, and removed to Leicester, Vt. 2 ch.
ANNA, b. Windham July 6, 1765; m. June 22, 1786, Amos Ford, Jr. He was b. Aug. 24, 1763, and d. Feb. 4, 1841, aged 77y. 5m. She removed to Clinton, Oneida county, N. Y., but subsequently returned to Hampton, where she d. Oct. 10, 1806, aged 41. 2 ch. He m. 2nd, Oct. 4, 1807, Nabby Snow. She was b. May 2, 1777, and d. Mar. 6, 1847.
SABRA, b. Windham Jan. 12, 1768; m. 1796, Justus Snow. No ch.
He d. April 17, 1799, aged 76, [1] in Windham County, Connecticut
He is buried in Chaplin Center Cemetery, Chaplin, Windham, Connecticut [2]
