When Dorcas Howland was born in 1783 in Massachusetts, her father, Thomas Howland, was 41 and her mother, Mary (Kimball) Howland, was 40. She married Jacob Jenne on January 1, 1807, in Burrillville, Rhode Island. They had four children during their marriage. She died in 1883 in Burrillville, Rhode Island, at the impressive age of 100.
