Biography

I'm a retired folklorist, sometime historic site administrator, and historian (especially American church history). I have in the past been a leading researcher of the New Sweden colony, about which somebody might want to contact me. More recently, I have been active with the Germanna (Virginia) descendants group. I ran FTDNA's large R1b-DF27 and Subclades haplogroup project for four years (late 2013-2017). I co-administer FTDNA surname projects for Huling-Hulan-Hulin and variant spellings https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/hul-n/about and for Kimbro(ugh).

Hi, Richard!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand Pre-1700 Profiles. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines on that page.
