Charlayne Hunter-Gault is an American journalist and former foreign correspondent for National Public Radio, PBS and CNN.[1]
Alberta Charlayne Hunter was born in Due West, South Carolina in 1942. She is the daughter of Colonel Charles Shepherd Henry Hunter and Althea Ruth Browne.
In 1936, she married Wayne Stovall.
