Charles L. Ireland, son of Pitkin Gross Ireland (1840-1917) and Amarilla (Chatterson) Ireland (1842-1930), was born on Oct. 12, 1871 in Murray Township, Northumberland County, Ontario.[1][2] He grew up to become a farmer in Murray, and to marry Armintha McColl. They had at least one son, Gerald Herbert (b. 1899 in Murray). Charles died on Oct. 31, 1945, and is buried in Stockdale Cemetery, Stockdale, Ontario.[3]
