By the way, for all researchers along these lines - I've seen the following misspelled so many times, I want to show the correct (modern) spellings from British Ordnance Survey maps : "Donnington" (the village), "Shaw" (the parish), "Berkshire" (the county), also abbreviated "Berks.".

Second wife, Alice Davis, sons mentioned Samuel (b.1607), Edward and Alphonso. The problem is that the will of this William is dated 4 May 1637, some 56 years later." • will written 1625, probated 1626, Canterbury (residence at the time "in the parish of Shaw, county of Berkshire") - see the site for more information
    • will written 6 July, 1643; proven 28 Oct., 1650. Wife unnamed. Children mentioned (all under 21, so born after 1622): William, Francis, Bridget, Elizabeth, Anne, Eleanor, Martha, Margaret & one unborn child.

Bridget and other relatives including a Corderoy Smith are mentioned in the will of Elianor Corderoy. Transcription of her will here: Will of Elianor Corderoy, Spinster of St Martin in the Fields 1677

Thank you!

Ironmonger-111 and Ironmonger-3 do not represent the same person because: Someone has mixed up Samuel Ironmonger (Ironmonger-3) with his brother, Thomas Ironmonger (Ironmonger- 111). I changed the first name of Ironmonger - 111 from Samuel to Thomas since the birth and death locations and dates match those for Thomas. I proposed a merge of Ironmonger-111 and Ironmonger-10.

Ironmonger-111 and Ironmonger-3 appear to represent the same person because: death date/place for Ironmonger-111 is not correct for the Samuel these profiles apparently represent. Please take a look. I think these profiles should be merged (using dates in Ironmonger-3), but if additional info is available about Ironmonger-111 to show he's someone else, please add it & reject the merge instead. Thanks!
