Biography

Mary was born in 1806 in either Virginia or Ohio depending on the sources consulted. She married Mark Bradburn in Ohio in 1825.^[1][2] Her marriage record with Mark is the only record in which she is referred to as "Polly", all other records list her as Mary. They had at least 8 sons and 2 daughters. Mary and Mark lived in Scioto and Gallia, Ohio, and in Greenup, Kentucky, and Liberty, Missouri where Mark worked as a peace officer (was elected Sheriff in Scioto, Ohio, worked as a Justice of the Peace, and was listed as constable in Greenup, Kentucky) and evidently as a Minister in his older years. It is unknown if Mary lived to make one final move from Missouri into Arkansas with Mark as she died about 1866. Mark remarried in 1868.
