Biography

Tabitha was born in 1804 in what was at that time, Virginia, but now would be considered Ohio. She is the daughter of George Kittle and Elizabeth Weese. Tabitha first married Barnabas Bradburn in about 1823 probably in Gallia or Quincy, Ohio. They had at least two children together. Barnabas died before 1844 in Ohio or Illinois, when Tabitha married a second time to Lewis M. Burke.^[1] Tabitha is enumerated on the 1850 US Census with her two children from her first marriage, and child in the household that is unknown.^[2] Evidently, by 1850 Tabitha's second husband was either dead or no longer living in the household.
