You've been a member for a while so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!
I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
Thanks for your message. Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately I have a C6/7 pinched nerve effecting my left arm and hand and have been delayed in adding any more information. I hope to be able to get back to the WikiTree in the next few weeks.
I have read some of the How-to's so far concentrating on the basics and the importance of providing valid sources. I have a number of documents that I will need to scan and upload as I complete the tree but I will need get more from my siblings as well. BTW I am a retired software developer and have extensive IT quals/experience which helps to pick things up but I am sure I will have many questions.
Regards
Brian
Sorry for my delay as well and also for your pinched nerve. Really gets in the way of genealogy, does it not? The good thing about WikiTree is that it is always on your own terms and your own schedule as we will always be here. Glad to hear that you are retired software guy because it will certainly come in handy with your work here on WikiTree. Who knows? You might develop some way to make it easier for all WikiTreers!
I am happy to congratulate you for becoming a full member of the WikiTree community! To help save you time, energy and frustration, please start with our New Member How-To pages.
Click the green Tag on your top right of your profile page and see others following the same things you are researching. The more Tags (20 is the maximum) you add that include locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more links to the community research options.
Welcome to the WikiTree family! Please ask if you have any questions as I am always happy to help.

Hello Brian: Thank you for your email. I noticed that you have not volunteered your tree or added surname tags. Directions are below. Thank you for letting me know this in an email. Appreciate it.
To Volunteer just add any surnames of interest into Tags so that you have one tag for each surname and location. By doing that, when you are confirmed as a member you can then click on those tags, and you'll be taken to a page where you'll see other genealogists who are also following those surnames and locations. I really encourage you to explore the connections it helps you make. :-)
Also Note There is a button to click at the bottom of the page that says Add tags and Volunteer. It is rectangular.
When you have done that one of our Greeters will confirm you as a member so that you can Edit your Profile and enter information into WikiTree. Wiki Tree Greeter ~ Andrea Pack
