Biography

Thomas was born in 1875, the son of Thomas Kelly and Mary Dick. [1]

In 1903, in Victoria, he married Ethel Knight (Mollison) Kelly (1874-1949), after she came to Australia from Canada. [2] She married as "Ethel Knight Mollison," rather than "Moore."

Marriage. [3]
KELLY—KNIGHT-MOLLISON.—On the 20th August, at Christ Church, Hawthorn, by the Rev. Herbert E. Taylor, Thomas Herbert, second son of the late T. H. Kelly, of Glenyarrah, Double Bay, Sydney, to Ethel Knight, eldest daughter of William Knight-Mollison, of Montrose, Forfarshire, Scotland.

They had 4 children:—

Beatrice (abt.1904-abt.1992)
Thomas H. (1906-?)
Patricia (1907-1993)
Carleton (1913-1949).

A New York Passenger Arrival record for 8 May 1923 gives his residence as Sydney Australia, birth year as 1876, born in South Hampton, married, arriving at Ellis Island aboard the 'Majestic' in the company of Mr J.D. Kelly [4] [There is doubt as to whether this is he. Other Ancestry records show his birth in Sydney on 17 May 1875, and he is definitevly interred with his parents, as shown].

He died in 1948, aged 72 [72y 11m 27d]. [5]
