Freda, you are doing fine. I believe tho that it showed 2 wives for Charles, one anonymous. Look again and you will see it says they are both spouses for Charles. They are both Sarah Hearne. Someone uploaded her on their family tree but did not have more info, hence anonymous. You will be fine, Wikitree just takes a bit of time to learn. Have a great day.

Betty, I am just learning how to post and I made a mistake. Charles only married once to Sarah Hearne. There should not be an anonymous wife. Charles had a son named Charles that m Ruth Phillips.

I have initiated merges for the Charles and Sarah, if you are profile manager for any of them you need to approve them. Then the profiles will need to be checked for duplicates of the children.

This is frustrating! I want to add to my chart and not to another members. How can I do this?

There are 2 Charles Tindle (Tindell, Tindal) profiles. Each is married to Sarah Hearne. You cannot delete a profile. It sounds like both Charles and Sarah's profiles need to be merged, they appear to duplicates.

What is happening here? I have entered some of these people twice and when I come back to the site they aren't there?

Hi! I got your email about tracing the Tindal family. My mother had traced them back to about the 12th century. I just do not have her notes, my sister does :) I would be interested in what you found!

Thanks

Thank you for your message!

Feel free to look around the project pages from the main list. You can always try some of the tasks from a project without joining to get a better idea of what they do. I joined several to begin with, but then found the ones I truly enjoy the most.

Freda,

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified! Now it's time to pick a project that best fits the pre-1700 profiles you'll be working on.

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Do you have some historically-significant ancestors? Look at the list of active projects to see if one fits your needs.

Once you find a project that interests you, visit their project page for more information and to find out how to join. You can also use the Following link to add the project tag to your profile, and you'll be kept up to date on any activity for that project.

Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)
