Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1800 in New Brunswick of British North America, before Canada was formed. She passed away after 1861 based on her appearance in the 1861 census in Salisbury, Westmorland, New Brunswick. [1] [2]

An 1854 year of death appeared in one of the merged profiles, and it came from the Canadian Roots genealogy without a source. However, it conflicts with the 1861 Census of New Brunswick in Salisbury, Westmorland where both Ichabod and Elizabeth Lewis were still living.

In the 1861 Census of New Brunswick, Ichabod Lewis, a farmer age 62, and his wife Elizabeth, age 61, were still living in Salisbury, Westmorland County, New Brunswick. With them were sons: Ichabod, age 21, and George, age 19, both working on the farm. [3] (If this was a different Elizabeth in this census, then another marriage record must be found.)
