Ruth King, the daughter of Isaac and Martha (Smith) King, was born in 1755 in Connecticut. Of her first husband, Charles Smith, little is known. Records indicate they were married in October of 1773 and that they had two daughters, Deborah, born in 1775 and Ruth, born in 1777. Charles would pass away sometime in 1777 or 1778.
Ruth was the second wife of the Reverend John Graham, Jr. They were married in July of 1779. Together they would have 5 children as follows:
Isaac King Graham (1780–1854)
Charles Isaac Graham (1782–1840)
Harriet Swan Graham Foot (1789–1865)
Jerusha Graham (1792–1861)
Sylvester Graham (1794–1851)
Ruth would pass away in 1834, 38 years after her second husband.
