Biography
Bettye was born in 1892. After my freshman year at Texas Woman's University (1957), my parents came to get me from El Paso. We drove to Winnsboro to see "Aunt Bettye." She was another of my father's favorite aunts. (Aunt Hester was the other one.). She fixed the best fried chicken dinner for us! I remember that she had a beautiful back yard. She died in 1967.
