MARRIAGES.

BROWN—KNIGHT.—September 22, at the residence of the bride's father, by the Rev. C. P. Withey, Frederic J. J., second son of Mr. W. Brown, Horsley, Dapto, to Lydia, second daughter of Mr. G. Knight, Knightsbridge, Bulli Mountain.^[1]

MRS. F. J. J. BROWN.

The lately deceased Mrs. F. J. J. Brown, who passed away on June 15 was born at Milton, South Coast, in 1859, and was therefore 72 years of of age at the time of her demise. She was of a family of 8 sons and 3 daughters and was the daughter of the late George Knight, of Bulli Pass. She was married to Mr. F. J. J. Brown in 1881, so that her golden wedding happened in April last. Of the marriage there was an issue of six sons and five daughters, viz: Oswald (Tygalgah), Harold (Condong Range), William (Ashgrove, Brisbane), Ambrose (Cudgera), Eric and Albert (Dayboro, Q'ld.), and Mesdames W. Matthewson (Upper Coomera), L. Gettoes (Stott's Creek), J. Partridge (Fernvale), J. Townsend (Dayboro) and C. McLeod (Beaudesert). With her husband, who was mostly on the land she lived first at Bulli and afterwards at Dapto, Menangle, Gundagai, Coomerdy, Condong Range, Cudgera and Dayborough. All her children were at her deathbed, as well as all immediate relations on the North Coast, including Mr. D. Knight, of Lismore, a brother, and A. A. Brown, a brother-in-law. Her remains were laid to rest in Dayboro cemetery, the Rev. Sanders per forming the last sad rites.

A sorrowing husband, eleven children and 30 grand-children remain to love her memory.^[2]
