Biography
Stanley Glasgow 'Stan' Knott was born on 17th February 1926 in Queensland, Australia. He was the fourth and youngest son of Charles Knott and Martha Henry. During his formative years, he attended Sunday School and church services at Newmarket-Grange (now simply Grange) Baptist Church, The Grange, in Brisbane's inner north west.
Stanley married Joan unknown. Making their home in Mitchelton, in Brisbane's western suburbs. They later settled in Toowoomba, Queensland.
Aged 95 years, he passed away on 29th May 2021 in Yukana Aged Care, Toowoomba. The Courier Mail published this brief notice of death and funeral on 4th June:
- "Late of Toowoomba, and formerly of Mitchelton, went to be with his Lord on 29th May 2021, aged 95 years. Beloved Husband of Joan. Loving Father and Father-in-law of Lyn; David and Dianne. Grandad to Callum, Ryan, Lindsay, Ashley and their families. Special thanks to the staff of Yukana Aged Care. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Stan's funeral, to be held at the T.S. Burstow Chapel, 1020 Ruthven Street (south), Toowoomba, service commencing at 12.00pm, Tuesday, 8th June 2021."
