Biography

John Knowles, son of Samuel Knowles (1651-1737) was born about the middle of April 1692 in Eastham, Plymouth, Massachusetts. His mother was Mercy (Freeman) Knowles (1659-bef.1745).[1]

  3. John, baptized 2 August 1730; died young
  4. Samuel, baptized 1 October 1732; married Mary McCloud
  5. Rebecca, born about 1735; married Benjamin Payne
  6. Mary, baptized 1 April 1739; married Alexander Chalker

John and Hannah (Curtice) (Calder) Knowles had the following (2) children:[3]

  1. stillborn daughter, born 28 March 1751
  2. John, baptized 12 April 1752; died 26 Nov. 1752
