Biography

John Knox was born near Centerton, Ark. but left when about 15 years of age, for the Pacific Northwest, living most of the time in Oregon. He had a ranch and several business's in and around the town of Condon. He had two sons, Bert and Floyd, with his first wife Ella May Schenck of Salt Lake City. She died when the youngest son Floyd was a year old. Later he married Jesse Kerr of the Bentonville area. After his death, from a stroke, John Knox's body was taken back to Centerton, by his two sons and their families, for burial next to his father, Robert Jackson Knox, mother, Senna Elizabeth Hoyl Knox, and baby sister Ella.
