Surname is listed as Cooper on the census form. 1900 Census lists her aa age 22, working as a domestic servant for Emma Vronman, living at 619 S. Quincy, Green Bay, WI. 1905 WI Census shows her living with her family again in Scott, Brown Co. 1910 Census shows her as Lizzie Smith, age 32, married to Adrian, living on Ridge Rd or Church Rd, Scott, Brown Co, with one child, Alfred.Household members: Adarm (Adrian) Smith, Age 34; Lizzie Smith, Age 32; Alfred Smith, 11 months. 1920 census lists her age as 42, living with her husband Adrian & children Alfred, Ralph and Sadie in Seymour, Outagamie Co, WI. 1930 census lists her age as 52, living with her husband Adrian & children Alfred, Ralph and Sadie in Combined Locks, Outagamie Co, WI. Lists her age at marriage as 31.

After the death of her husband Adrian, she moved back to the Green Bay area for the next thirty years. The 1939 Green Bay City Directory listed her as living at 342 S. Webster Ave. She was employed as a maid, and was the widow of Adrian. She was using the Smits surname instead of Smith. When she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, she went to live with her daughter Sadie in La Grange, IL, where she died in 1963. SSDI shows date of birth as 9 Nov 1877 and date of death as Jul 1963. Obit from Green Bay Press Gazette: Mrs. Adrian (Elizabeth) Smith, 85, 1659 Crooks Street, died Sunday morning after a short illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Jens, La Grange, Ill. Mrs. Smith was born in Bay Settlement on Nov. 9, 1877, and had been a Green Bay resident for the last 30 years. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons, Ralph, Kaukauna; Alfred, Combined Locks; five sisters, Mrs. Matt VandenLangenberg, Mrs. Henry Deschane, Mrs Elmer Deschane, Mrs. Martin VanLanen, Miss Genivieve Kuipers, all of Green Bay; two brothers, William and Frank Kuipers, both of Green Bay, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Jansen Funeral Home, Kimberly, after 2 p.m. Friday. The Rosary will be recited at 8 P.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks, with burial in the church cemetery.
