Birth

Jacobus Kuyckendal was baptized on August 19, 1716 in the Minisink Valley by a circuit dominie from the central Kingston Reformed Dutch Church. Baptism was only recorded at the Minisink Valley Reformed Dutch Church at Machackmeck (Deerpark), Orange County, New York. Witnesses were Abel Westfael and Annatjen Hoornbeeck.^[2]. Baptism was performed by Do. Petrus Vas.

Note: Jacobus' baptism record was one of the "lost" baptism Records not recorded at the central Kingston Reformed Church, as was normal until ca. 1738-1739 when the first Minisink Reformed Dutch Church was formed. The lost records were later found and incorporated in Minisink Church's records, ca. 1743.

She is said to have been called Blandina or Diana, is said to have married Jan Decker, and is said to have died ca. 1790. Citations are needed

Sara Kuyckendal, daughter of Jacobus Kuykendal and Alida Dingenman, was baptized at Walpeck, in the upper Delaware area known as Minisink. now located in Sussex County, New Jersey, on 12 September 1742. Baptism sponsors were Jan Decker and Dina Kuyckendal "syn H. vr." (his wife)^[11]. Baptism was performed by Do. Joh. Casparus Fryenmuth. Preacher there, May 31, 1741.
2. Abram Kuyckendal, son of Jacobus Kuyckendal and Alida Dingenman, was baptized at Walpeck, Minisink (see above) on 13 January 1745. Sponsors were Abram van Campen and Susanna Du Puy, "syn Huys vr." (his wife) . ^[12]
3. Jacob, of Jacobus Kuykendal and Alida Dingenman, was baptized at Walpeck, Minisink (see above) on 12 July 1747. Sponsors were Benjamin Kuykendal and Christina Kuykendal.^[13])^[14]

Death

Jacobus Kuykendall died sometime after the July 12, 1747 baptism of son Jacob Kuykendal, as the Baptism record shows Johannes as being present. It was custom to record the absence of a parent presenting a child for baptism, albeit we were not there.
