Biography

Jacob LaRue performed Patriotic Service in Virginia in the American Revolution.

Jacob LaRue is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A066876.

Jacob LaRue is the descendant of a Huguenot emigrant.

Jacob was born in 1744 in what is now Clarke county, Virginia to Isaac and Phebe Carman LaRue. Jacob LaRue. In 1765, he married Mary Frost and moved to Kentucky in 1798, first to what is now Jefferson county, and later to the Nolynn valley in Hardin county. After Mary's death, he remarried in 1805 to Jane Morgan. He had children by both wives. He passed away in 1821. ^[1] His Will was probated on 8 Oct 1821 in Hardin County, Kentucky.^[2] Jacob was a horticulturist and brandy distiller.
