There's a problem with the marriage to Mary Varnum. The marriage record gives this info:
Seneca Ladd, farmer age 23 born [b. 1846] Canaan to Zorastus & Eleanor Ladd, of Peacham mar. Mary S. Varnum 20 Jun 1869 (Peacham VR p. 289).
There were two Seneca Ladds. The one born ca 1802 to James & Mary Ladd married (1) Hitty Gardner in Danville in 1825; (2) Pamela Estabrooks in Danville in 1828. He died 1868 in Danville, aged 66y 7m 2d. He was a blacksmith. Death record
The Seneca Ladd who married Mary Varnum [daughter of Charles & Betsey (Clark) Varnum age 19 at marriage] in Danville on 1869 was probably born much later, about 1846. He was a farmer. marriage in 1869 His marriage record gives his age as 23 in 1869, so born 1846, to Zorastus and Eleanor Ladd.
Thanks - this is important to note to get ahead of any future confusion.
However, it does seem that this Seneca Ladd is paired with the correct Mary Varnum - your marriage list should have a (3) Mary (Varnum) Dana in Peacham in 1847. Mary Varnum, b. ~ 1812 married (1) Josiah Dana in Peacham in 1830; (2) Seneca Ladd. This is further evidenced by the 1850 census including Seneca's wife Mary some of his Dana stepchildren in the same household.
Working on it now .... ;) Looks like the Seneca she married was born to Zorastus and Eleanor about 1846, which would be this one but edited to change the parents & birth. I'll let you work on the Seneca profiles and I'll work on Mary (Varnum) (Dana) Ladd.
Two Seneca Ladds and two Mary Varnums with two marriages.

Her gravestone, which is next to Josiah Dana's in Peacham, says she was the wife of Seneca Ladd. Very confusing! Her marriage rec to Seneca names parents as Charles & Betsey Varnum. Yet her death rec gives John & Mary. Hmmm, both can't be true.
I understand, but this is the marriage of two different people. The Seneca Ladd in this 1869 marriage record is the son of Zoroaster Ladd, who was the brother of the Seneca that this profile represents. The Mary S Varnum the younger Seneca married is a different Mary Varnum than the one born to John Varnum and Mary Morse around 1812, who first married Josiah Dana and subsequently appeared as Mary Dana on her 1847 marriage to this Seneca.
It is very confusing, but it all becomes clear once we recognize that there were two couples with the exact same names at birth, just separated by a generation.
