Biography

Pierre Landry is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 7-Left, La Bergere. Listed with him is his wife Marthe Le Blanc and four children: Joseph, Jean Raphael, Marie Maragueritte and Anne Susanne. [1]

Joseph Gregoire Landry, son of exiled Acadians Pierre Landry and Marthe Leblanc, was born 17 January 1766 in St. Malo, Ile-et-Vilaine, Bretagne, France.[2]

He died in 1849 at age 86 in Assumption Parish, Louisiana.[3]
