Littleberry Lane is the descendant of a Huguenot emigrant.
Biography
Littleberry was born before 1738 according to some sources. He married Mary Sandidge and he was an executor of his father-in-law's estate in 1777, Albemarle Co., VA.
He served in the French and Indian War in Col. Byrd's Regiment, 1758, Orange Co VA.[1]
He was taxed in Orange Co VA in 1782 and 1783. He was in Fluvanna Co VA by Spring 1784, where he remained.
Fluvanna Co VA Chancery Cause filed 1810, William S Lane v Higginbotham & Co[2] names at least some of the children or daughters' spouses:
Mary Lane, married Mathew Sandidge
John Lane
William S Lane
Daughter 1, married a Fariss
Daughter 2, married a Fariss
Littleberry died by 26 Mar 1807, when his estate was appraised at Fluvanna Co[3]
