Biography

Mary Levitt (or Levit or Levett) is thought to be the daughter of William Levett and his wife Margaret. ^[1] born about 1601^[2] in Messing, Essex, England.^[1]

William Levett's will 9 Oct 1626 in Colchester, Essex, England was witnessed by "John Whit." This signature, while not identical. is very similar to the signature of Elder john White of Hartford.^[3]... William's widow Margaret's will was proved 9 March 1633

The death date and location for Mary Levitt is unknown, but she is not mentioned in her husband's will, and is presumed to have died before him, most likely at their home town of Hartord, Connecticut.
