This is the profile of Isaac Lobdell who lived in Hingham and Hull, Massachusetts in the late 1600s.
Isaac is generally presumed by genealogists to have been the son of Nicholas Lobdell who was living in Hingham in 1636-1648.[1][2][3] As argued by Douglas Richardson in his 1978 TAG article about the origins of Nicholas Lobdell, prior to emigrating to New England in 1635 or 1636, Nicholas probably lived in Northam, Devonshire, where Richardson said the parish register entry for the baptism of one of Nicholas' daughters showed the name of her mother as Jane.[2] As discussed in the profile for Nicholas' wife, however, further review of the Northam parish register entry and the corresponding entry in the bishop's transcripts indicates that her name may have been Jane, Jone or Ane. In any event, her maiden name has not been determined. In the absence of contradictory evidence, Jane/Jone/Ane is presumed to have been Nicholas' wife who died in Hingham in 1641[4] and the mother of all of his children, including Isaac.
Isaac's date and place of birth is uncertain. Presumably because Richardson found no baptismal record for Isaac in the Northam parish registers and there is no gap for another child between the ones he did find or between the date of the last one and when Nicholas probably emigrated to New England, Richardson stated that Isaac was probably born in Hingham in 1637.[2] One apparent difficulty with that date is that it would mean that Isaac would probably have only been about 19 at the estimated date of his marriage (1656). That concern is not fatal, however, since Isaac was probably orphaned by the early 1650s, and it was not unusual for men under 21 who were orphaned to be granted land and thus become marriagable. Based on the available evidence, Richardson's statement that Isaac was probably born about 1637 in Hingham remains the most probable date and place of birth.
He married Martha Ward probably about 1656 at Hull.[1][2]
Isaac became a freeman 7 May 1673.
12 May 1670 - Isaac and wife Martha sold to John Lobdell for 39 pounds one single lot located at their home lot.[5]
15 Mar 1702 - Isaac Lobdell of Hull, yeoman, and wife Martha, for love and affection, deeded to son Joseph of Boston, mariner, a "messuage (dwelling house with outbuildings) in Hull..." along with a Negro slave, Sambo, and other items, in exchange for him taking care of Isaac and Martha in their old age.[6]
Son Joseph and son-in-law Perry named executors.
He passed away about 1718. He is buried at Hull Village Cemetery.[8]

Also the date of the Ward marriage in the bio is suspect. I don't think there is any marriage record. It is estimated that they were married about 1656, based on the date of birth of their first child in 1657. A marriage in 1656 is unusually early if Isaac was born in 1637, but since Isaac's parents were both probably dead, and in those situations, men often got property before they were 21 and were thus marriagable.
