Sarah was born "say 1650" at either Stamford or Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, a daughter of Robert Lockwood and Susanna Norman.[1] The family removed from Stamford to Fairfield in 1650, and it seems that Sarah's birth was not recorded. Her death was; she died on March 1, 1650/1 at Fairfield.[1]

A Sarah Lockwood born 1649, died 1650, would not have survived long enough to (a) marry an Abrahm Adams and (b) have daughter Deborah Adams b. 1676.
