Pieter initially farms on Rustenberg, Stellenbosch and buys c 1777 (from his brother-in-law, Hendrik Oostwald Muller) Roodebloem (16 morge, tans Woodstock of (Papendorp), Kaapstad, as well as Schoongezicht, Stellenbosch. The farmstead Roodebloem had a view of the Soutriviermond. This farmstead was used in the past as the Roodebloem Residential Hotel and was later used by Eric Laubscher as an art college. According to the testament of Pieter Laubscher [7/28 no 73] dated 1781-10-19, his five surviving sons inherited the following farms at his death: Jacobus the farm Langrietvlei (also known as Groot Rietfontein) on the Bergrivier and Patrysberg; Hendrik Oostwald the farm Roodebloem, worth 40 000 Indian Gulde – according to the instructions of the testament he was not allowed to sell the farm, as it is to remain in the family; Johannes Albertus the farms Zoutkloof and Hazenkraal; Nicolaas Rudolph the farms Dassenheuwel and Lammerhoek; and Michiel Casparus the farms Massenberg (Zoutpan) and Langefonteijn.[1]

Based on the Baptism record the LNAB should be "Lopser". Please PPP after the change.

I will remove Switzerland as birth place, as it was not the name of the family farm which was Nooitgedacht and he clearly was born in the country Switzerland.
