Biography

Katherine was the daughter of William Ludlam, alderman and mayor of Leicester, Leicestershire.^[1][2]

In 1587 she married Edmund Abney.^[1][2][3] They had the following children, all named in their father's will:^[4]

• Danett^[1][2][3]
• Katherine,^[1][2][3] who married John Wildbore in 1614^[5]
• Mary, who married John Colley^[1][2][3][6]
• Isabel, buried at St Mary de Castro, Leicester on 12 March 1605/6^[7] (not listed by Douglas Richardson)
