Notable children of this Pleasant Martin are Elizabeth “Betsy” Martin Powell and Rebecca Martin Jopling. This Revolutionary War soldier, Pleasant Martin applied for his pension in Wilson County, Tennessee. He died in 1836 in Wilson, Tennessee.

He died on October 16, 1836, in Wilson, Tennessee, having lived a long life of 79 years.
