Hello again! I posted a comment two weeks ago and have not yet heard back from you. I hope you are well! Do you want to remain in the Germany Project? If I don’t hear back from you by the end of November, I’ll go ahead and remove you from our member roster. You are, of course, always welcome to rejoin at any time via our G2G sign-up post.
The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.
Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
Thanks for joining the Germany Project! I've awarded you a project member badge. Please read the main Germany Project page and add GERMANY to your list of followed G2G tags (see: Help:Tags).
When you have a chance, please submit a join request to our Google Group, where our project communicates. Please make sure to add your name and WikiTree ID to the request so we can get you set up.
The Germany Project has several teams that cover regional, functional, historical and migrational interests. Please check them out and let me know which team(s) you'd like to join. You might find that one (or more) of our 16 regional teams may be a good fit, specifically: Baden Wurttemburg and Alsace-Lorraine.
We look forward to working with you! Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks!
I have default permission to merge some of the Frederic, Friderich, etc. profiles but wanted to consult with others on what the last name should be and which target profiles to use. There are at least 6 Anna Barbe Frederic's and the parents have many duplicates as well. I have the Robichaud book. He uses the generic name Frederic to describe the family in Louisiana. I'm leaning toward that name but want other input. We have the parents Conrad who is the La. progenitor and Ursule Frey, Freyen to consider. What do you think? I will post this on other profiles with interest in this family.
How's everything going? You might be finding duplicate profiles now. We have a Help Page to help you learn what to do with them. Be sure to check for your pending merges by going to FIND, PENDING MERGES, and sort for those waiting on you. Upon completing a merge, be sure to clean up/edit the Biography as ALL information from both profiles are copied and remove any duplicate info.
If you want updates on surnames you can add them by going to MY WIKITREE, NAV HOME PAGE, scroll down to just below WIKI GENEALOGY FEED to EDIT FOLLOWED SURNAMES. You can add up to 20.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those situations.
Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.
How To Use WikiTree is a good place to start. It is a step-by-step-guide to WikiTree basics. Our G2G Forum is searchable or you can post a question there. The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.
It is very important that no duplicate profiles are created in WikiTree. Please read this page for clues on avoiding profile duplication.
Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions
