Biography

Sarah Whitney was born in 1734, probably Massachusetts. [1] Her parents are unknown at this time. Her LNAB is assumed to be Whitney.

David "Peirce", Jr. [aka Pierce] and (Mrs.) Sarah "Mainner" aka Maynard (believed to be Sarah Whitney) published their marriage intention 9 March 1763 at Stow, Middlesex, Massachusetts. [2] Their marriage intention was also published in the Harvard, Massachusetts Town Records. [2] Sarah Whitney is believed to have been born November 26, 1733, in Stow, Middlesex county, Massachusetts}}.

Sarah and David were among the founders of the town of Solon, Somerset county, Maine.

At age 88 years Sarah Pierce, born 1734, passed away 17 Feb 1822 and was buried in Pierce Cemetery, Solon, Somerset county, Maine, United States. [1]

The DAR patriot record lists David Pierce, a New Hampshire patriot with wife Sarah Whitney Maynard. Children: Alice, Luther, Calvin, Simon, Peter and Charles. [3]

Her Find A Grave memorial # 51120441 gives her middle name as her maiden name. A message has been sent to the memorial manager. April 25, 2017.
