Elizabeth McCloskey was born about 1869, daughter of John M McCloskey (1834–1910) and Matilda Mary Jane Boss (1843–1920).

Elizabeth (23) married Michael Joseph Abberton (37) (born on November 3, 1855 in Mummel, New South Wales; son of Thomas Abberton and Mary Ann (Torpy) Abberton) on April 26, 1893 in Lyndhurst, New South Wales.^[1] Their children were:
