James McMahon1

M, b. 12 July 1788, d. 26 December 1814


James was born on 12 July 1788 at Jonesboro, Washington County, Tennessee.2 He was the son of John Blair(Brooks?) McMahon and Margaret Curley. James registered to pay taxes in 1800 at Logan County, Kentucky.3 He married Mary (Polly) McMahon circa 1804.4 He was given property by John Blair(Brooks?) McMahon on 20 May 1805 at Logan County, Kentucky, Deed Book A, Page 307.5 James served in the military on 18 December 1813 at Tennessee in the Mounted Gunmen under Col Perkins.6 James died on 26 December 1814 at New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, at age 26.7 James's will was probated on 20 February 1815 at Maury County, Tennessee.[1]
