Magdalena was born on 14 June 1872 at Kadina, South Australia. She was the daughter of George Thomas and Magdalina Veale.^[1]

Magdalena Thomas was born on 14 June 1872 at Kadina, South Australia. She was the daughter of George Henry Thomas and Magdalena Vale [sic].^[2]

She married Albert E Merritt in 1895 in Broken Hill, New South Wales.^[3] He is presumed to have died.

Magdalena Merrit, 34-year-old widow and daughter of George Henry Thomas, married Frederick Clarke Davey (30, son of William Davey) on 9 April 1906 at the residence of Emma Sophia Pearce, Kadina.^[4]

Magdalena Davey died on 4 April 1939 aged 67 years. She died in hospital at Parkside. Her residence was recorded as Galway Gardens and her husband was Frederick Clarke Davey.^[5] Galway Gardens is now part of Marleston.^[6]
