Kenneth MacKenna was born on 19 Aug 1899 as Leo Mielziner Jr, in Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA. His parents were Leo Mielziner and Ella Lane McKenna Friend.^[1][2][3]

Leo became an American actor and film director. He changed his name to Kenneth MacKenna for stage purposes.^[1]

Kenneth MacKenna was first married to actress Kay Francis on 17 Jan 1931. They divorced in February 1933. He married Mary Philips in August 1938 and they remained married until his death.^[1]

He died on 15 Jan 1962 in Hollywood, California, USA.^[1][4]
