Biography

Martha Mildmay was born c 1554, the daughter of Sir Walter Mildmay and his wife, Mary Walsingham. ^[1] She married William Brouncker, son of Henry Brounker of Melksham and Erlestoke and his wife, Ursula Yate. ^[2] They were married by General Licence dated 10 Jan 1568/1569^[3]. Presumably the marriage took place in London.

She bore her husband a son and four daughters. ^[4]

William died 27 March 1596. Martha was a beneficiary and Executor of the will made on 22 Mar 1594/1595 and proved on 30 Oct 1596^[5].
