Biography

Jonathan was the second son of John Miller of Wethersfield and Stamford. Born in Wethersfield in 1640, he grew up with his brothers in Stamford before moving with them to Bedford, New York.[1] This likely happened in the 1670's.
By the 1680's, he had moved to Huntington Harbour on Long Island. On September 28, 1685, he married the widow Mary (Jennings) Teed in Huntington.[2] A year later, a son Jonathan was born on September 19, 1686.[3]
Mary Miller would soon be a widow again as Jonathan Miller would be dead by November of 1689, when estate records show his brothers in Bedford, New York acknowledging Mary as administrator of the estate of their deceased brother.[4]

Something is wrong. He was married to both Sarah and Mary Jennings at the same time..? It also doesn't seem right that he had two different sons named Jonathan, born 20 years apart. It looks like somewhere a bad merge may have occurred.

I found the problem, The original immigrant to Connecticut, John Miller, had three sons, John, joseph and Jonathan. John and Joseph settled in Bedford NY and Jonathan ended up on Long Island where he married Mary Jennings.

John in Bedford, had a son Jonathan and he is the one who married Sarah Holmes.

I'll straighten the tree out with the sources I found as time permits.

Miller-78616 and Miller-16027 do not represent the same person because: Nothing on the 2 profiles matches even slightly. Merge was probably meant to be proposed with Miller-78616 & John Miller, Jr.
