NOTE: Greenbrier County, Virginia (where the couple was married) was created 2/22/1833 and became part of West Virginia on 6/20/1863. They were in Christianburg, VA (Montgomery County) during the 1880 Census (not to far from the West Virginia border and Greenbrier County, WV). They lived with what appears to be their daughter (Bettie R. (Miller) Guerrant) and her husband (William G. Guerrant) and their family in 1880. William H. J. Miller was a Post Master in 1880.

NOTE: I adopted this profile on 5/21/20 and trying to determine who William's parents were. I found family tree on FamilySearch.org (which has many birth/death/marriage dates/locations) that notes his name as William Heath James Miller (not William Heath Jones Miller); so I am removing Jones and replacing this middle name with James. This family tree explains the Mary L. "Robertson" age 20 just above William's name in the 1880 Census. Mary L. "Robertson" is William H. J. Miller & Mary Johanna Guerrant's grand daughter (Mara L. Robinson; b-2/14/1861 Nicholas County, West Virginia) the daughter of Bettie G. Miller b-1840 in Lafayette, Montgomery County, Virgina whose 1st husband was Joseph H. Robinson b-1838 Nicholas County, Virginia. Bettie & Nicholas were married 11/30/1858 in Clay County, West Virginia. Bettie G. Miller must have later married William G. Guerrant likely around 1868 if Willie M. Guerrant (listed as age 11 in 1880 Census) is their oldest child. See link below with this family tree:
