DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Catherine by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Catherine:
Wolf-7543 and Mosier-327 are not ready to be merged because: I would like to see more documentation before making this merge. The file folder “The Wolf Family of York County, Pennsylvania” states that John (Johann) and Catherine have two daughters, Lydia and Catherine. This cannot be the case; although both “sisters” were married to Michael Lau, Lydia and Catherine cannot be sisters of the same mother, as their respective births are only 7 months apart. I will have to re-examine the material in the folder, as Mosier is something new.
I am confused. I think the “first marriage” of Catherine is to Johan (John) Wolf (15 Mar 1775 - 3 Nov 1852). The couple is buried side-by-side in the Longsdorf Cemetery in New Kingstown PA. The second marriage listed here (née Mosier) is someone else.
