Biography

This profile is part of the Oaks Name Study.

William Oaks was born on February 18, 1705 in Marlborough, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay, son of Nathaniel I. Oak (~1645–1721) and Mary Holloway (1681–1733).[1]

William died on August 8, 1723 in Shrewsbury, Worcester County, Massachusetts Bay, aged 18.[2] [1]

Oaks-50 and Oaks-48 appear to represent the same person because: same death date, birth date is almost the same, no conflicting information, no primary sources for the data

Oakes-284 and Oaks-50 appear to represent the same person because: they are listed as a child for the already merged profiles of the father. I do feel that the LNAB should be spelled "Oak" since it is explained in the father's biography that the father spelled it that way and it was changed in later generations.
