There is a "Serjeant Palmer" listed on p. 15 line 29 in 'A Brief History of the Pequot War' (1736 edition) by John Mason. At the end of the book, the notes say:

15.29 Serjeant Palmer ] Nicholas Palmer (d.1689) of Windsor.

This book is a description of the events of 1637. Digital copy of the book available through University of Nebraska: https://digitalcommons.unl.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1042&context=etas

Elizabeth must be the first wife. Second wife is Jane/Joan erroneously called purchase here

Checking the sources available to me from GMD Nicholas Palmer, I found no source that indicated "Kemp" as the surname for the wife of Nicholas Palmer. (see inline citations under research notes)

I found only that she was the widow of John Purchase/Purkus who died at Hartford in 1645.

If you agree, his wife's surname should be changed to unknown.

AnneB, per your note of 2017 "Is his wife correct?"

TAG34 & Barbour Hartford Vital Records both say he married Jone/Jane Purkes Oct. 29, 1646 at Hartford.
