Biography

John Park III son of John Parke II and Mary Davis was married to Susannah Elrod in 1759 in Hampshire County.[citation needed]

It is John III who is buried in Parks Hollow cemetery - he also served in the Revolutionary War.[1]

The children of John Park III & Susannah Elrod are as follows:

  • John IV who married Mary Millslagle,
  • Col. George who married Hannah Millslagle,
  • Sarah who married John Cox,
  • Timothy who married a Charlotte surname unknown,
  • Joanna who married Samuel Dew,
  • Amos Ebenezer who married Amy Griffith Compton,
  • Samuel who married Susannah Ruckman,
  • Solomon who married Rhoda Dillingham.

This is the Col. George who is buried in Parks Hollow cemetery in Capon Bridge, Parks Valley. His (Col. George's) son George who married Sarah Brill is ALSO buried in Parks Hollow cemetery.[1]

It is John IV who went to Pickaway Co. OH and died there.
